If I seem giddy it’s because many of my fellow RTPers are based here in Chicago and this morning the 2007 Lollapalooza lineup, likewise based in Chicago, was announced.
I know of at least one RTPianist that has thouroughly committed to NOT go this year unless some dude named Bowie was playing. I know where he is coming from as it can be quite a hike to and from stages and every year so far blazing effing hot. Yet each year I’m tempted. and i’m still not going. i’m actually happy to say that the only bands on the lineup that i haven’t already seen but would like to are daft punk, lcd and pb&j.
maybe they’ll all be playing on the same day…
Damn that’s a fine lineup. And on my birfday too. Maybe I’ll consider my first ever trip to Chicago. Northern California is seriously lacking in the music festival department.
i’m not going either. the lineup is rockin, but Vegas in Sept. is hogging my vacation and personal days.
But Vegas has an TON of indie shows, so I consider it a push.
