What’s Your Favorite Song?
Remember when that question was easy to answer, and the answer stayed the same for more than a few days? I know “Alive” by Pearl Jam was probably my favorite song beginning in the summer of ‘91 and lasting through the next few years, and my mom has been using “Lovely Rita” as her answer to that question for about 40 years. But that’s just not the case anymore, is it? I was hooked on PB&J’s “Paris 2004″ for just a month (when the rest of the world was whistling that other song), and last week I remember listening to “Now, Now” by St. Vincent about 800 times.
But this week my new favorite song is, without a doubt, “The Pills Won’t Help You Now” (listen/download) by the Chemical Brothers featuring Midlake, which I just got around to downloading this past weekend.
Holy fucking shit this song is good. What are those sounds?!?! And what’s your favorite song these days?

Currently (as in, this week): Klaxons - It’s Not Over Yet
Mine has been a St. Vincent track as well. I’ve hummed “Marry Me” more times that I can even count in the past month. Although “The Apocolypse Song” is driving up the charts.
