Patio Music
Here in the pedestrian ‘burbs, my wife tends to freak out any time I want to stretch the speakers (The Black Keys are a speaker stretching fave lately), but I can always chill her out and get the kiddies bopping around with some early Robert Palmer.
Yes, that’s right, the guy most remember for Addicted to Love released his first two albums w/ Little Feat as his backing band. And for my purposes, I’d say he produced some terrific patio music. You can’t go wrong w/ either his first (Sneakin’ Sally…) or his second record (Pressure Drop).
Too bad his legacy is more quickly associated w/ Power Station and 80s-style fembots than this good stuff.
