Eddie and George Sitting in a [Censored] Tree, @-!-#-%-I-N-G

eddie vedder

I know I’ve mentioned on this blog before that Eddie Vedder was perhaps singlehandedly responsible for me picking up a guitar. Note to guitar students: it’s very difficult to learn how to play Pearl Jam songs on the guitar by continually pausing their MTV Unplugged performance and trying to shape your fingers like Stone Gossard’s.

How ironic that on that very performance on MTV Unplugged Eddie wore a t-shirt with a hanger on it — perhaps one of his earliest anti-Bush tirades to reach a mass audience — which proved much more difficult to edit out than his verbal onslaught from a Lollapalooza stage a couple weekends ago.

I have my own opinion, but do you think AT&T has the right to edit out political commentary? Seems like they’re a bit confused as to whether this was done on purpose or by accident, but either way, the whole thing kinds of smells like Texas to me.

Nice wrap up and controversial video here

AT&T is a private company and can do whatever the hell they want.

Besides Pearl Jam is irrelevant? And the only thing that was edited was the online stream, which was only viewed by 6-7 people.

It smells like Pearl Jam is making a big deal to get some badly needed media for their shitty record.
