Rockommercial: They Put the W in VW
This commercial has been on for a couple months now, but I was just reminded of it last night in between Grossman’s numerous foibles. In an interview that happened shortly after the commercial aired, Wilco defended itself against fan backlash, saying “We feel okay about VWs. Several of us even drive them.”
It was later revealed that the “several” band members who drive VWs did not include Jeff Tweedy, who actually still prefers riding the coattails of Jay Ferrar.
Buh dum bum ching.
At least there was no reference to the douchemobile…
