Feist and Friends, Tonight on Letterman

If this isn’t a must-see TV event, then I don’t know what is.
Tonight (Monday, August 27) on Letterman, Feist will be joined onstage by a choir comprised of Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning of Broken Social Scene, Carl “A.C.” Newman of the New Pornographers, Aaron Dessner, Bryan Devendorf, and Scott Devendorf of the National, Nicole Atkins, everybody in Grizzly Bear, and both Mates of State.

I caught this too late and can’t watch it now, but it reminded me of one of the best shows I saw in Portland where Feist joined in with BSS for “Anthems of a 17-Year Old Girl.”
The song was awesome, but even better was that Lisa Lobsinger or Amy Millan, (I can’t remember which since there were about 14 people on stage), was staring Feist down with jealous hipster rage all the way through.
Canadian rivalries are so cute.
kara and i just watched this at home, and we might be wrong, but it looks like HD may have revealed a pregnant mate of state…
