For So Long

rtp_minibadge.jpgPop. You hear that? Thats my RTP blogging cherry. Consider it officially popped. I’ve been neglecting writing for this site since we’ve started it up that I figured it was time to jump right in. Also, I’m a douche.

One of my favorite releases this year is Bat For Lashes Fur And Gold. Sure, sure it’s just another clever sultry singer/songwriter but its a weakness of mine. And the album is really quite good.

And in a strange turn of events, she’s made a fantastic video for “Whats A Girl To Do.” It just fits so perfectly, which is a rarity with music videos of late. If Donnie Darko and M83 made a baby video itd look like this:

    Gross, I know, but at least there was no mention of shoulder-based bullet holes…

    i just watched that video, and from the look and sound of it, i can say with confidence that i will be listening to bat for lashes on my way to work tomorrow — the perfect new record reviewing commute…
