Your afterbirth is growling at me

Ever wonder where that awesome growl in Ratatat’s “Wildcat” (track 4 from latest record, Classics) came from? I have, so I listened to this “Weekend America” interview with the band and found out that not only did they actually record the sound using a real wildcat, but apparently the song is also a popular tune to give birth to, second only to Salt-N-Pepa’s “Push It.”

    funny you mention giving birth. i have to in about 2.5 months. and i really wasn’t looking forward to it until now. as i sit here listening to ‘wildcat’ (thanks to Frazer) i’m now looking forward to giving birth. yet again, rtp has come to my rescue! thanks again!
