Apple lowers DRM-free song price to $0.99

I knew the new, all-DRM-free Amazon MP3 store would influence me directly at some point. Apple has decided to lower the price of its DRM-free tracks, which up until now cost $1.29, to match their price of their protected tracks at $0.99.
No official word on the reason for the price drop, but one can only assume Amazon, whose MP3s are all DRM-free and sell for anywhere between $0.89 and $0.99 a piece, had something to do with it.
