Review: Black Kids, Wizard of Ahhhs

black kids

These four songs are fucking awesome. I’ve listened to them each 782 times, and today I left “Hit the Heartbrakes” on repeat all day long. What I hear is something close to the love child of Robert Smith, Adam Olenius and Win Butler, with a little bit of whiskey added to their bottle. And you know everything gets better with a little whiskey sprinkled on top. So these four songs get four stars from me. Four stars out of four. The only thing I’m bitter about is being left wanting more. So what do you say Black Kids? Hook a brother up?

How’s about some linkery to the free downloads? The album in the “Now Listening” column isn’t clicking through correctly due to the extra backslash. Fucking backslashes.

    My bad; sidebar link fixed.

As for the songs themselves, I agree, they’re what we want.
