I like how this post fell into the douchebaggery category. I have to agree with the good Rev -- it's funny how much seeing a band live can change your perception of them. I actually think they put on a great show -- they were tight as hell and they played almost every single song i've grown to know and love over the past few months, but regardless, something about my perception of them has been altered, and not in a good way. I'm not sure if I really have a leg to stand on here or if I was just jealous at how young, good looking, and successful they are (not to mention the FACT that all four of them absolutely got laid about six times each last night), but either way, I'll definitely be watching them closely, and am excited for the new record to come out.

on a couple separate notes:

- could they really be that preppy or is that just part of their act?

- did the keyboardist look like he was on acid or was it just me (that was on acid)?

- why did the singer need to stand on his tippy toes whenever he sang? were his balls tied to the floor and pulled painfully with each act of tiptoeity so he could hit those falsetto notes?

- when was the last time you saw schuba's so packed, replete with numerous desparate non-ticket holders begging at the door?

- does anyone have any food they'd like to share with me? i'm a bit hungover and starving.

Was I the only one in the crowd longing to scream out a solid, pimp-cup wobbling, crunk-ass sounding, "Yeeeeaaaaaaahhhh!" Little Jon style when they played "Oxford Comma"

Oh, I was. Oh, ok. I guess I am glad that I didn't then.
