An open letter to Loney, Dear: A review
Dear Loney, Dear,
How did you manage to avoid me throughout the entirety of 2007? After all, your latest offering, Loney, Noir, was released way back in February.
It’s not like you’re on some crappy label, or what would be even more understandable, no label at all. Did I have Sub Pop-flavored blinders on all year? Was I too obsessed with other Scandinavian bands?
Whatever it was, I deem my negligence worthy of more than just mere apologies, no matter the level of sincerity. I think you actually deserve your very own post on my favorite blog. So here you go (see preceding words).

P.S. I gave your new record its first listen on New Year’s Day, so you couldn’t make it into my Best of 2007 List, but in hindsight and after a double-digit amount of subsequent listens since then, I’d easily place you with confidence at number seven (much to the chagrin of Feist, Jens, Justice and Arcade Fire), with high probability potential for the top five. You had me at Saturday Waits…
