2008 Music: “2007 can suck it”

Dr Who
This post comes a little later in the year than I planned but nonetheless there are still many shiny new digital files to look forward to this year. A short list of some anticipated and noteworthy albums of 2008:

March 4th:

Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks

March 24th
Supergrass (updated)

March 25th:

April 1st:
REM

April 8th:
Peter Moren (of Peter, Bjorn and John)

Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin

April 14th:
Portishead

April 15th:
Tapes N Tapes

Kooks

April 21st:

June 10th:
My Morning Jacket

Date unannounced yet forthcoming:

Ambulance LTD

Black Kids

Blur

The Cure

Deathcab for Cutie

Deerhunter

The Faint

Franz Ferdinand

James (reunited and it feels good)

Junior Boys

Kaiser Chiefs

The Killers

Aimee Mann

Margot and the Nuclear So and So’s

Mates Of State

Midlake (Album 3 is called “The Courage Of Others”)

Muse

The Postal Service

Wolf Parade

Let’s not forget that perhaps one of the better albums we’ll hear all year is already out. Vampire Weekend is on a roll now that I’m not sure can be stopped. They are almost sure bet to be sampled by Kanye.

I personally can’t wait to hear Tapes N Tapes, Islands, Midlake, and all the albums that I have no idea I will love.

Any biggies that I missed?
